What are the Idol’s from Season 8 doing now? Winner Kris Allen has had his debut album No Boundaries released in May. Allen has also been busy with TV appearances with The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, Access Hollywood and many more. Runner-up Adam Lambert also had his debut album released in November by RCA Records titled For Your Entertainment.
Danny Gokey was the third place finisher and has signed with RCA Records in Nashville releasing single My Best Days Are Ahead of Me. Allison Iraheta was a disappointing fourth place finish. She was the youngest of Season 8; however the judges were very impressed with her talent. Iraheta signed with Jive Records and 19 Entertainment and has a promising career ahead of her.
TV’s #1 series is getting ready to start Season 9 January 12, 2010. There is going to be a new face at the judges table this year. Ryan Seacrest will remain the host of the show with returning judges Randy Jackson, Simon Cowell and Kara DioGuardi. Ellen DeGeneres will be replacing Paula Abdul so that she can concentrate on her own career. The judges have traveled to Boston, Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Orlando and Denver to find the contestants for Season 9.
