Men's USA Hockey Roster

The USA men’s ice hockey team for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics was announced yesterday with a few surprises. This will be the youngest squad every put together since the 1980 Gold Medal Team. The average age will be 26.5 years. Leading the goalies will be Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres followed by Tim Thomas of the Boston Bruins and Jonathan Quick of the Los Angeles Kings.

For the forwards you have David Backes of the St. Louis Blues; Dustin Brown from LA Kings; Ryan Callahan and Chris Drury of the New York Rangers; Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks; Ryan Kesler of the Vancouver Canucks; Phil Kessel from the Toronto Maple Leafs; Jamie Langerbrunner and Zach Parise of the New Jersey Devils; Ryan Malone of the Tampa Bay Lightning; Joe Pavelski of the San Jose Sharks; Bobby Ryan of the Anaheim Ducks and Paul Stastny of Colorado Avalanche.

The defensive lineup includes Erik Johnson of the St. Louis Blues; Jack Johnson of the LA Kings; Mike Komisarek of the Toronto Maple Leafs; Paul Martin of the New Jersey Devils; Brooks Orpik of the Pittsburgh Penguins; Brian Rafalski of the Detroit Red Wings and Ryan Suter of the Nashville Predators.
