2009-2010 Bowl Games

With the college football season coming to a close it only means one thing! It’s bowl season! There should be some great match ups this year and maybe even a Cinderella win for some teams. The 2009-2010 bowl season starts with the New Mexico Bowl in Albuquerque on December 19 and ends with the Rose Bowl on January 7. This is the Citi BCS National Championship Game in Pasadena, California with #2 Texas and #1 Alabama facing off for the title.

Other great games to watch will be the Holiday Bowl December 30 in San Diego, Arizona will be taking on Nebraska which will be a defensive battle until the end. The Capital One Bowl is the SEC of LSU vs. the Big Ten Penn State on New Year’s Day in Orlando, Florida. Florida will be taking on Cincinnati in the Sugar Bowl. Cincinnati will be missing their head coach Brian Kelly as he is already on his next rebuilding assignment of Notre Dame.

The MAC Conference is gaining respect with Central Michigan playing Troy in the GMAC Bowl in Mobile, Alabama on January 6. Also from the MAC is Ohio University vs. Marshall in the Little Caesar Bowl. FedEx Orange Bowl in Miami features Iowa vs. Georgia Tech. The BSC title game is Boise State vs. TCU in the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl which features two undefeated teams. . In the Rose Bowl on New Year’s Day Ohio State is going into their bowl game vs. Oregon with a six week layoff which is always challenging.
