Exploring Disney World

The most popular travel destination in the United States is the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.  There is a shopping and entertainment complex at Disney’s Boardwalk. Two water parks, Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon and Disney’s Blizzard Beach. There are four theme parks; Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Other attractions are Disney’s Wide World of Sports, eight golf courses and twenty resort hotels.

Staying at one of the Disney Resorts has a valuable perk of transportation between resort and parks.  The monorail connects several main hotels to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. There are also buses and ferries to connect you to the parks. Admissions prices vary depend on the parks you visit and how long you stay.  Children and adults also pay different prices. Tickets range from 1 day theme park pass to a 4 day value pass, or you can get a multi day hopper pass. The hopper passes give you the most flexibility to come and go to any park plus ride the Disney transportation system. The longer you stay and play the more you save!

Other Disney properties include the original Disneyland in Anaheim, California; Tokyo Disney Resort; Disneyland Paris; Hong Hong Disneyland Resort and in 2009 Disney announced a new park, Shanghai Disneyland Resort to open in 2014. Disney also has a Cruise Line with two ships, Disney Magic and Disney Wonder and expecting two more ships to join the fleet in 2011 and 2012. Which trip is right for you?
