Muscle Car History

Muscle cars or high performance automobiles were built for drag racing. Hot rods with big engines were built for speed which attracted the younger crowd. Some of the popular muscle cars are Pontiac GTO, Ford Torino, Dodge Charger and Plymouth Road Runner. Soon other countries like Australia, South Africa with their version of the Z28 calling it Firenza CanAm  and the United Kingdom had their versions of muscle cars built to compete in races.
