Proper Meat Cooking Times

With all the food recalls in today’s world, it is very important to follow proper cooking times with your meat. If you follow the HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards recommended by the Food and Drug Administration and the United States Department of Agriculture you ensure your safety. Fresh pork should be cooked to 160-170° and ham 160°. Poultry needs to be cooked to 165°-175°. Beef has several categories as rare 120°-125°, medium rare 130°-135°, medium 140°-145, medium well 150°-155° and well done at 160° or above. Seafood has many different cooking temperatures as well based on the type of seafood you are cooking. Make you follow the cooking instructions on your package to insure your safety. Follow these basic rules and you and your family will be safe and enjoy the meal.http://www.todaysbaker.com/meat-cooking-times.html
