Family Fun at Sporting Events

There is no reason for a family who loves sports to spend a lot of money to have big fun at a sporting event. Not every family has the large amount of money required or live in a big city where the huge sporting events are taking place. Here is a few big fun sporting events that everyone from any family can enjoy.

Fenway Park is the home of the Red Sox and is the oldest stadium in the MLB today. Manual scoreboards and pillars that hold up the upper deck stay within tradition and the Red Sox fans are as passionate as they come. Be sure to go to the game early and walk down Lansdown Street or Yawkey Way do some exploring. You will want to experience the stadium before the game as well as it is a small and cozy field with no bad seats. There is also the New York City Marathon that takes place in the beginning of November and brings world-class runners from all over the globe. The marathon is a sporting event like no other and you don’t have to pay to attend. You can be anywhere along the race route and see all the action that is going on.

NASCAR is another sporting event that offers a great time for families. The best thing about NASCAR is that it is one of the few sports that lets the fans get up close and personal with their favorite drivers. Before each race they have an open track, where fans can get autographs and take pictures with the drivers.

One thing parents need to remember is that this time is for the family. Don’t get caught up in what the score is and don’t put down a team that is not yours. This is a perfect chance for you to bond with every member of your family and create special memories.
